Weber Warrior...Megan Marsden 2010!

Kindergarten feels like it was just a few years ago...

A very wise person (Lesley) told me years ago... "just wait until your children reach high school that is where time starts to fly". Megan was just in elementary school when she told me that and I am here to tell you; Lesley is right. The time has flown by!! The above picture was taken in May of 2008 when Sean was graduating. Megan put on his graduation robes anticipating the day it would be her turn. It seems like yesterday I took that picture and now Megan's turn has come and gone.

Megan is now a Weber High alumni as of May 25th 2010!!
It has been a fabulous spring with many incredible experiences. We were blessed to take a "senior trip" with two of her best friends and the three moms. The six of us have all been friends for many years. When we first moved to Pleasant View, Megan meet both Aubree and Heidi and it was instant friendship. All three girls will be going to different Universities but I have no doubt they will be life long friends. We have had a tradition to go to lunch together just before Christmas since the three girls were in pre-school. We have not missed once and we plan to continue the tradition. Megan and Aubree Jones are already planning on going with ILP to Russia in January of 2012.
Megan, Aubree Jones & Heidi Olsen on Alcatraz Island.

We were all excited to meet a real 60's hippie on Sausalito! It was a wonderful trip for the beginning of the end of Megan's senior year.
Some of May's activities included a party given by the bishopric for the grads in our ward, a scholarship assembly where Megan received two different scholarships. She will be using one of them to attend BYUI this fall. A spring choir concert, baccalaureate where John Bytheway spoke, a Marsden family graduation party to celebrate graduation with her two cousins Taylor and Aubree (go 2010), seminary graduation, another party with the Jones & Olsen families and last but not least graduation! Megan received great support at her graduation from Melissa and Hannah who came from Las Vegas and from her grandparents for the big event. There were 540 other Weber High graduates in attendance. It was the best graduation ceremony I have ever attended.
Thanks to her Aunt Marivic who gave me the idea, I was able to compile letters of love and advice from the significant women of Megan's life. Megan loved the gift and has poured over the letters. Thanks for all of you who helped make this possible.

It was a great day and one for the memory books!!

Megan has made many good friends throughout her years at Weber High...From the cute boys to...

Many wonderful friends and experiences. Megan arrived home at 4:20 a.m. after celebrating with the Weber High class of 2010 at a graduation party at Toad's. You can imagine how happy I was to have her home safe and sound.
It has been one heck of a ride!! I love you Megan! Congratulations!! Now....WE HAVE ENGLAND & IRELAND TO LOOK FORWARD TOO!!

What a great post Margie! It sounds like Megan has had a lot of wonderful experiences and many more to look forward to. I always love having something "to look forward to". Way to go Megan, you are such a beautiful girl. We are proud of you!!

Congratulations, Megan!

It seems like only a few years ago as you said Margie. Meggie was the cutest little girl having sleep overs with Tara and AJ, and now she is all grown up into a beautiful young woman. It looks like you've successfully graduated the last of your babies :-). What a milestone. My turn will be next year when AJ graduates. I hope I can be as composed and dignified as you and not be a basket case :-) Oh, well---I probably will be.
