Summer can now start!!

For the past several years Tim has made a "SUMMER CD" for our family. It is like a journal CD culminating the events of our family for that year. For instance, in 2006, many of the songs were about Melissa & Adam's wedding, Grandma & Grandpa's 50th anniversary, our trip with Alan & Marivic and family to Northern California etc... Last year the CD was filled with songs about London, England, New York, High School graduation etc... So yesterday he completed (with the help of Megan and some input from me) the TIM MARSDEN SUMMER 2009 CD. The CD is usually about 20 songs all having to do with that year. The first song on the CD is one Tim found called "Heads California, Tails Carolina" because we will be going to both. The CD also includes some Beach Boys, representing our California trip, and a great new song called "Disney Girl" dedicated to Megan. "Our House" in honor of Melissa & Adam getting into a new home. "Isn't She Lovely" for our new granddaughter , Viva La Vida that talks about missionaries in a foreign field & "I still call Australia Home" in honor of both Adam and Sean. There is also a song about Dixie (for our Atlanta trip) and one of our favorite country songs that represents our time in Island Park. Tim has also included his favorite from the top two American Idol winners, Adam & Kris. He also has a song to represent our 30 year High School reunion.

This has become a really fun tradition for our family. Tim always makes a copy for each of us to enjoy and we really love listening to it together when we are in the car together and on trips together. I still frequently listen to the past years CD's as I drive around. It brings back great memories of years gone by!!

That's pretty cool. I didn't know that Tim did this! I kinda like to think his his way of scrapbooking, just without the pictures!
