I sluffed Young Women's last night!!! It has been an extremely busy month. I finally decided to listen to my body that was telling me...YOU ARE TIRED AND STRESSED...STAY HOME. I have to admit it felt GREAT.
I have 14 Beehives. I love each one of them. For the past four months I have only had one advisor. I have not had the luxury to miss an activity. With that many girls, we have had to have at least two of us there to drive the girls home!! However, last Sunday, a new advisor was sustained. No one was raising their hand higher and faster than me. When I called to find out that both advisors were planning on going, I made my plan on staying home.
It has been a huge month!! On the first Tim & Sean returned from Enlgand, then I spent the next two days helping Sean get ready for BYUI. Then by the 4th, I took him off to school, even though that was very exciting, that has been stressful too. Since then, I have taught twelve days, painted two room with Tim's help, made window coverings for both rooms, shopped for a new bedspread, matress & sheets, pictures and everything else that goes along with redecorating. Meanwhile we ran up to BYUI to be with Sean while he opened his mission call. Last weekend Sean came home and I spent the morning finishing the 47 quarts of salsa that I have also canned this month, then spent the afternoon working on Sean's FBI clearance papers that we received two days before that said APPLY TODAY, or else you will risk delaying your MTC date by six weeks. Arranging for a police officer to come to work on a Saturday so that Sean could have fingerprints and a letter of good conduct from the PV police department, off to Costco for more passport photos and filling out pages and pages of forms.
Last week my body started hurting between the right side of my neck to my shoulder. Then my stomach started getting upset. I even called to get a prescription from my doctor for acid reflux!! Did you know chocolate isn't good for acid reflux? I woke up with a sore throat!! All of these are clear signs of STRESS. I'm sure I'm not different or unique when it comes to having a busy life with too much to do. I'm sure the rest of you feel the same way at times. My dad showed me a cartoon once that said "MEN AT WORK". The caption underneath said "the reason why there aren't WOMEN AT WORK signs is because women are always working. There is never a need for such a sign."
So if any of you are feeling a bit like I am, I would highly recommend you take some time off. I feel much better today!!

Way to go Margie!!!!!! You need to do it more often :o)
I feel that way everyday. Achy between the shoulder blades and STRESSED. This inspite the fact that I am the one allowing stress into my life by my own inability to say NO or the sick need to be busy because that's what good women are supposed to be, BUSY. Well, I'm finally listening to my body, and better senses. I'm taking all of next week off! Woo hoo! :-)
This reminds me of my post about Caitlin's costume. Way to go Margie. Remember years ago when I told you to get yourself some Dr. Pepper and m&m's? Not a bad idea, huh!?!
I think I'll take your advise next Saturday!!!!
Hi Margie. I know how you feel being stressed. That is a lot of Beehives! We have 9 Young Women total... You are awesome. Good luck on the room project.
Margie, I tagged you. Don't worry if you don't have any one to tag since I tagged almost all the bloggers in the family. I'm keeping this one in the family. Just play along for the fun of it. I want to know things about you that I might not know yet :-)
