For you it's free...
I felt so happy on Saturday when I called my thirteen year old neighbor boy and asked how much he charged to mow lawns. He asked me who needed their lawn mowed. I told him that both Tim and Sean were out of town for two weeks, and I was wondering if he would mow my lawn the first part of the week. His response was quick "for you Margie, it's free." I knew he didn't have a mother standing over him prompting him what to say. I thought that was very nice of him, but I certainly didn't expect him to mow my lawn for free. So, today just before dinner, I looked outside and there was Jordan mowing my lawn. Luckily I had made some chocolate cookies earlier in the day so I got the money and a plate of cookies and when he was done, I walked over to pay him. When I tried to give him the money, he insisted that he wouldn't take the money. I tried three different times to pay him, but he insisted that he wanted to do that for me. Luckily he did take the cookies. He made my day. It took him over one hour to mow my lawn and he did a fantastic job!! When you come across young teenagers like that, it just gives me great hope for our future!! Thanks Jordan!!

What a great encouraging story. I have met similar young men and women over the years. It reminds us to pass "it" along. Glad he helped make your day. I am sure his Mother is proud of him :o)
Margie, you are always quick to acknowledge people's strengths and find the good in each and everyone. People recognize this in you. I'm guessing this boy did, too, and that's why he was more than happy to do something for you. What a wonderful young man.
What a great kid!
I love to hear stories like that. Margie you're such a great example to all of us as someone who cares about others and is interested in hearing from others. This boy wanting to serve you shows that that example extends to everyone that knows and associates with you.
