YESTERDAY IT SNOWED AND SNOWED!!

Yesterday I woke up and headed out to go to exercise at 5:30 a.m. I drove about half way down our street and then turned around to go home. The snow was coming down FAST & HEAVY!! Even though the roads weren't bad, I figured if I went down the hill I wouldn't be able to get back up even after one hour and before the snow plows had a chance to get to our street.
It ended up being a good decision because only two other friends ended up going to the church for exercise and one of the two that lives up by me...did not make it home. I was teaching at Weber High (3 blocks from home) and it was difficult getting to and from school. I had to have four boys push me out of my parking space just to get home. Then came the shoveling. Both Tim and I worked for about 1 1/2 hours just to get the driveway cleared. I ended up I didn't feel back about missing out on exercise, because I did get my workout in. News reports said that Huntsville and Eden received about 30 inches. We had about 20 inches at our home.
But after all was said and done...Tim, Megan and I had chili (with salad) and a fire inside with our cozy sweats and warm slippers on. Then we wrapped up in blankets and watched American Idol together because Tim's church meetings were cancelled because of the snow. It was a GREAT evening. And today, everything is so WHITE and BEAUTIFUL!!

I love it when meetings are cancelled and act like it is a bonus. :o)
I wondered how much snow you got. We got 2 inches. But an interesting phenomenon. It was snowing on the north side of the house at the same time as on the south side of the house. I don't need to identify the speaker of that statement do I?

That's a lot more snow than we got!! It sounds like a cozy night.

Wow--- looks so pretty. I would like to brag about the sun on our spot of the world except that it rained and rained and rained for days. Glad you had a nice night at home after all that work-out.

Regarding Mom's comment: wouldn't it also snow on the East and West sides and on top of the house simultaneously as the North and the South? :-) Yes, ain't that a lot of snowing.
