I was actually able to talk to them a couple of times today because they called me around 7:00 a.m. my time to let me know they were about three minutes away from Abbey Road and I could get on the computer to the Abbey Road web cam and see them. Sean wanted me to call his friend :) Carly Hirst and have her get on the computer too. They waited on the phone until I called Carly on my cell phone so they both knew we were watching. Tim told me that Sean had on his long sleeve Arsenal shirt and he had on his short sleeve England shirt. I waited for just a minute and then I watched them walk down the street and start to cross the famous Abbey Road crosswalk. They walked in front of the web cam and stood there waving at us. It was really nice that Sean had his red Arsenal shirt because you couldn't miss them. The other thing that was funny about it was that I could tell they were quite a bit taller then anyone else around them. Sean then took off his shoes and crossed the street while Tim took pictures. Both Carly and I watched for about 20 minutes, and it was fun to listen to Carly giggle as we watched the two of them. They had spent the morning at the British Museum and had really enjoyed that together.
Disclaimer: Tim tells this story much better then I could even attempt to tell.
The big football event was after Abbey Road. They were both so excited and I knew this was huge for both of them. Out of the four games they have been able to go to, this was the one that they were looking forward to the most. The game on Wed. was Arsenal too, but because of who they were playing (New Castle) and for what other reasons that are too complicated for me to really understand...this game was IT. The game started at 5:30 p.m. and they wanted to be there like two hours early so they could go to the gift shop and drink in the entire experience. The game was wonderful for them and Arsenal won 3-0 (or at least I think that was the score) I just know they won. After the game was over neither Sean or Tim wanted to leave the stadium. They didn't want the night to end. They just sat there for a long time...like 45 minutes to one hour, just savoring the experience. By the time they left not very many people were around. They were walking down the street when a young boy about 10 caught Tim's attention. The boy said something about Liam Brady. Now if you don't know who Liam Brady is...he is a legend soccer player for Arsenal. He is Tim's all time very favorite player. He is now retired, but Tim has books, DVDs etc...about Liam Brady. Sean is also a big fan. So after Tim heard this boy, he looked up and saw someone from behind that looked like Liam Brady. He told Sean and they decided they would pick up their pace to see. The man was on a cell phone and they couldn't really see his face. They finally got close enough and Tim recognized his voice. It was Liam Brady. You just have to picture Tim telling this story...or better yet hear him. Anyway, at about that point he got off the cell phone. Tim wasn't going to say anything, but Sean out the blue said, "Mr. Brady, could we have a picture with you?" He turned around and Tim said he was the perfect gentleman. He asked them where they were from, and seemed so surprised that two guys from Utah were such big Arsenal fans. He told them they were both big blokes. It was great for both of them. I can't wait for all of you to hear them tell the story. Sean said that today was definitely one of the top five days of his LIFE!!
Tomorrow they will go to church with Ray and June, and then they are taking them to see Joseph Smith's ancestral home. They will also drive around and see the outskirts of London. They leave to come home Monday morning, London time, and will arrive home Monday evening
Utah time. I can't wait to see them. The only bad news, is I asked Tim if he had bought a lot of chocolate. Get this...he hasn't bought ANY. I'm sure hoping he can get it at the airport. But chocolate or not...I'm ready for them to come home. I miss them both!!

That's a heck of a story. How awesome is that? We can't wait to see Tim and Sean on Saturday to hear all about their trip.
HOW AWESOME for them both!!!
I'm so happy for them to have had this experience!!! Tim, being the good story teller, will have much to say at our fam. picnic on Sat!!!
NO CHOCOLATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Who is Liam Brady when compared to chocolate!!!!!!! OK so he is an Irishman!!!!!! BIG DEAL Bring chocolate!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Seriously, that is fantastic. I am thrilled for them and sad at the thought of them not wanting to leave Emirates Stadium. BUT, tomorrow is another day and they will be HOME!!!!!!!!!! It will be good to have all my kids on this side of the Atlantic, now perhaps Granpa and I can get back into our ruts, OK, "MY" rut, and not have to think about Granma getting on an airplane. :o)
Way cool!
Don't worry Margie, chocolate is best purchased the night before you leave. Now that you've planted the seed, I'll bet there is some that arrives for you. :-)
